Children's Committees

Through our Children’s Committees, we here at Brimrod, aim to ensure that all pupils have a voice and are able to have an impact on what is happening in school and in the wider world. Children throughout the school are given the opportunity to raise and discuss issues that affect them and the day to day running of the school and plan and carry out improvements. We currently have the following Committees:

  • School Council
  • Wellbeing Ambassadors
  • Eco Committee
  • Digital Leaders
  • Sports Council
  • Brimrod Buddies

The key areas of responsibility for those who take part in all our Children’s Committees are to:

  • represent and present the views of the other children in school
  • demonstrate an ambitious vision, have high expectations for what all children can achieve and ensure high standards of provision, care and resources for children and learners;
  • ensure that our curriculum is suitably detailed, relevant and challenging as well as meeting the needs and interests of children, learners, staff and local community;
  • successfully plan and manage projects and regular sessions with the classes so that all children and learners are involved and responsible for the improvements being made
  • actively promote equality and diversity, tackle bullying and discrimination
  • actively promote British values.
