Mental Health and Wellbeing

How sleep impacts your child's learning

It is well known that sleep affects our children's ability to learn. On this page you will find lots of information to help you improve the quality of your child's sleep. Improved sleep will have a positive impact on their academic outcomes. Click on the banner below to see access further resources from Together Trust.

Understanding Emotions

As part of our mental health and wellbeing work we have used the 'Bounce - Understanding Emotions' programme. This is a resilience framework which enables children to recognise emotions and supports them in managing responses to emotions. We have linked this framework to our existing emotional registers and feelings charts across school, creating a common language to be used in all classes and at home

Don't forget to put this on your fridge/wall to use at home (you will have received one in your transition pack).

As a school we take the mental heath and wellbeing of our children and families very seriously. Accessing support when it is needed can make a real difference in easing the stresses and strains we are all experiencing. It is important to look after each other but also ourselves. The links below will take you to some of the help available.

If you need anything please remember to speak to someone at school, we will always do our best to help. All staff emails can be found on the staff page. You can also call the office on 01706 647146.
